Coach Nicole, of Detroit, Michigan, draws from her personal experience to discuss the impact of being surrounded by violence. Experiencing violence doesn't have to be the end, but can lead you to discover your path of interconnection between mind, body, and spirit. Nicole found her roots in god and the power of the creator. She discusses how god helped her heal and advised her on her own health and wellness journey. As Nicole's relationship with god grew, she developed a strong spiritual foundation. Nicole and Dr. Elisa Haransky Beck explain how important meditation is to be fully present in body and mind, and deliberate over the environmental problems taught through violence.
Nicole Kirksey spent over twenty years working in the field of health and human services. She also formerly was the host of the Foundational Gifts weekly podcast on the Christian Women Affiliate Network. From this background she became the founder and chief visionary officer at Foundational Gifts Life and Leadership Coaching, where she helps people step into the calling of God. A very active member of her Church, she is now a curriculum developer and adjunct college professor in higher education. She specializes in the first year experience for non-traditional students and in health care administration.
