With an intense drive for sustainability, Kristy founded Brown Girl Green and speaks of where her passion originated. She focuses on providing environmental coverage through a lens of low income, Black, and Latinx families. Kristy and Jona Reyes, her interviewer, converse over how she brings people into awareness and provides relatable content that provides resources and support. Kristy expresses her love of story telling, and how she transitioned into environmental story telling in order to fill in the gaps from the media. Kristy and Jona ultimately encourage people to take environmental action immediately if given the opportunity.
